Nautical Happy Birthday Card

This card is inspired by two wonderful challenges
SK 163 US 194

While the inspiration photo is rather feminine, I took a masculine look
~ a nautical touch to the card ~
The fishbone paper is from DCWV Tradewinds Stack.
The Spellbinders die cut birds are from my stash cut out of a shoebox.
Used Sizzix Framelits Tickets for the frame.
Twine is Maya Road and grosgrain ribbon from my stash.
Piggyback for Unscripted is Happy Birthday sticker by Mrs Grossman's.
The initial card looked like a boat in the ocean but not quite it.
So I modified the look with the brown grosgrain ribbon and the birds
and the result is fantastic, me thinks!
So Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boy!!

St Valentine's Hugs and Kisses

This card is made with love for The Paper Players PP129 and Dynamic Duos DD#36.

I found my last card too red for Dynamic Duos
so I decided to have a second take on the colors using this lovely CAS sketch
which also fulfills the challenge by Sentimental Sundays 138 ~ Negative Space.
The white card is embossed with Sizzix Flowers Folder,
then cut and embossed with Sizzix Square die
(see the embossed square?)
The black square is cut into a frame and embossed as well.
Finally the white die cut is cut down to size to fit the black frame.
The butterflies are placed to look like they are flying into the frame.
XOXO sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Messages completes the card.
Hugs and Kisses from me this St Valentine's Day.

Layered Birthday Card

Combined these two challenges for this card

This is one of the toughest card I have ever made, by choice of combination.
It took the longest time!!!
Perhaps because I found the orange too contrasting.
But in any case, it is done with a lot of trial and error.
Papers are a mixture of Echo Park and plain card stock.
Die cuts using Spellbinders and Sizzix.
It's a layered Birthday card!

Thank You Mojo Monday and Stampin' Royalty

This card is made for two amazing challenges

The inspiration I got from the photo is its colors ~
orange, light blue, kraft, brown and white.
Used embossing folders from Sizzix on plain white and orange papers.
Patterned papers are DCWV Citrus stack.
The sentiment is a China stamp from my stash.
Two new items used are the checkered bias tape and button.
Thank you for all you have done for me.

A multipurpose card for any occasion.

PKS47 and 365-285 Opposite Week

This card is made for two challenges

This is the first time I am playing on Peachy Keen
and it's been a long while since I played on 365 Cards.
The common thing about these two challenges is Dobea Alberts.
And of course, a birthday greeting to Peachy Keen's Kathy.
Papers from DCWV stacks.
All squares cut with Sizzix Square dies.
So to Kathy, have a blessed birthday!!

MOJO270 Contest Colors of Life

Back in the business of making cards,
in red, yellow, green, blue and white, to celebrate life.
My brother just brought back some more stuff from Joann's
in his recent trip back to Malaysia,
including Spellbinders Shapeabilities Banner Basics Three
and Sizzix Framelits Ticket dies which are used here
alongside the older Spellbinders Butterfly
and papers from DCWV (the blue jeans and green).
It was such an enjoyment making this card after some 2 weeks.
To all my fellow cardmakers, let us enjoy life!

A CAS Card Made For Two

This card is made for two:-

One Layer Card
FOLIAGE
and
CFC69: Create a CAS project using embossing.

I made two other cards which did not turn out as what I wanted before I came up with this one and I am happy with it. I drew a circle in pencil and stamped the little Hero Arts stamp around in two shades of green (Momento Dew Drop Bamboo Leaves and New Sprout) to make this lovely wreath.

Then I embossed the lower part with Sizzix Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

365 Cards Day 190 ~ Animated

I found this delightful Tigger from my sons' old collection of Disney stickers.
He is jumping for joy amongst falling autumn leaves and having a Tigger-ific time.
I used Sizzix Flowers Embossing Folder on the white card.
Cut a panel of dark brown card and a narrower white one.
Stamped the autumn leaves using Hero Arts leaf stamp.
Tied a strand of Maya Road Twine on the side.
Mounted Tigger which was glued to a white card and cut out.

The card follows Freshly Made Sketches #51 (FMS51) again.

This card is also submitted for CAS-ual Fridays CFC69 ~ Embossing.

Birthday Card Freshly Made

Freshly Made Sketches always have very nice layouts which are quite elegant in a simple way.
I made this card following their sketch for the week FMS51.

Took this photo on the balcony this morning just after 7.
The Sizzix polka dot embossing is done on DCWV cardstock.
Patterned paper in suede and white is from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic.
Suede colored scalloped square is cut with Spellbinders on the Cuttlebug.
Pool party colored paper is a piece of parchment paper,
embellished with a strip of floral ribbon.
The delightful owl stamp is from Micia.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is Mrs Grossman's Stickers.

365 Cards Day 181 ~ Gotta Have It

"I Gotta Have It" sounds so not me.  Nonetheless, it is a challenge card to be made.

When I saw this challenge, I quickly scrummaged through my craft stuff and found this cute Coach handbag and tag which suits the challenge.  Coach was a brand I loved in my 20s and 30s but terribly expensive so I never got one for myself.  Now in my 40s, I am no longer the materialistic sort, prefering a simple green life, although many of my girlfriends still love the classic fashion brands.

I used Sizzix Polka Dot embossing folder for the classic feel to the card and added the necessary details to this lovely sketch for Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #74 (SSC74) by Chupa (Iwona Palamountain) in her blog ipalamountain, placed all the necessary elements required by the sketch.

This card is also submitted to Craft Your Passion Challenge 125 ~ Emboss It.

If only I have a friend whose name is Ivanna...
I wanna, I gotta...
