Oriental Touch to MOJO282

and I chose Square.

This card took a very long time to complete.
Why?  Finding the right mix of papers, mashing them around,
and finally rotating the sketch clockwise.
That was the answer ~ rotating the sketch.
Papers are from DCWV's Tradewinds Stack.
An oriental touch to the card.

I think this card came out suitable for Pals Paper Arts PPA153 as my 2nd entry.
Also submitted for The Paper Players Challenge PP134.

Thank You Mojo Monday and Stampin' Royalty

This card is made for two amazing challenges

The inspiration I got from the photo is its colors ~
orange, light blue, kraft, brown and white.
Used embossing folders from Sizzix on plain white and orange papers.
Patterned papers are DCWV Citrus stack.
The sentiment is a China stamp from my stash.
Two new items used are the checkered bias tape and button.
Thank you for all you have done for me.

The black card is embossed with Sizzix floral embossing folder.
Spellbinders dies cut the scalloped circle, circle and butterfly.
Left the card sentiment free for any occasion.

MOJO270 Contest Colors of Life

Back in the business of making cards,
in red, yellow, green, blue and white, to celebrate life.
My brother just brought back some more stuff from Joann's
in his recent trip back to Malaysia,
including Spellbinders Shapeabilities Banner Basics Three
and Sizzix Framelits Ticket dies which are used here
alongside the older Spellbinders Butterfly
and papers from DCWV (the blue jeans and green).
It was such an enjoyment making this card after some 2 weeks.
To all my fellow cardmakers, let us enjoy life!

using orange, black, saffron and white cardstocks with
Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air paper,
Spellbinders Scalloped Circle and Dahlia dies,
and Kaiser Sentiment Rub on.
Completed the card with a black and white button.

MOJO265 ~ Thinking of You

Fabulous sketches again, Mojo Monday!  Square peg for me.
I have had a leave of absence from card making for almost 2 week.
When I saw this sketch, I had to get cracking before I rusted further.
A rather simple square card using
1 patterned paper
2 scalloped squares from Spellbinders
3 words ~ Thinking of you
4 colours ~ mustard yellow, green, black and white
topped with a bright dragonfly from Spellbinders.

Doggie Mojo in Autumn Colours

This card is made for the following challenges

Here in Malaysia, we do not have Autumn nor do we celebrate Halloween.
So I made a simple doggie mojo card
with Spellbinders and Hero Arts.

MOJO262 with Color Throwdown CTD213

Made another card for Mojo Monday MOJO262
with colors from Color Throwdown CTD213

This time I have used Echo Park Everyday Eclectic papers alongside DCVW.
It turned out very different from the first one I made this morning
with a different palette of colors.
The Cuttlebug butterfly gives it a beautiful touch.

MOJO Chocolate Time

It's another fantastic sketch from Mojo Monday MOJO262

and Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge 23 ~ Color Combo time.

This card took a very long time to make as I had to try it out several options.
Hope the effort pays off.

I think the card looks better portrait than landscape so I am updating the post with this photo.

MOJO261 with Color Throwdown CTD212

Yet another wonderful sketch from Mojo Monday MOJO261,
played along with Color Throwdown CTD212 on my first attempt with 5 colors.

Made this card with a slight twist.  Embossed Swiss Dots on white card.
Die cut the red card with ...
For the want of Spellbinders Classic Circles, I made do with Scalloped Circles instead.
Cut a banner using patterned paper from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic.
Tied the ribbon into a bow.
Placed the grey scalloped circle and mounted the butterfly.
Embellished with pearls.
Sentiment is from Mrs Grossman's.
Have a Blessed and Happy Birthday!

Often when there is a loss of idea, it is good to combine challenges.
The patterned paper is from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic.
The white card is embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots.
The scalloped circles are by Spellbinders.
The twine is Maya Road.
Thinking of you on a cold autumn day.

Congratulations ~ MOJO259 with 365-205 Colors

I almost missed this week's Mojo Monday Challenge MOJO259
because I did not see the blog posting on Tuesday.
Fortunately I realised it this afternoon and quickly looked it up.
I used 365 Cards Day 205 Color Scheme on this parchment card.

When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of a rainbow.
So I turned the sketch to landscape with the arch on top like a bridge.
The dark grey, green and camel cream papers are from DCWV Cardstock stack.
The light grey "mound" is cut from a Maya Road half circle chipboard.
The Spellbinders Butterfly is cut off from a shoe box I recycled a while back.
Positioned pearls (2 sizes) over the arch and on the butterfly.
The sentiment "Congratulations" is from Hero Arts Everyday Messages.
Left the rest of the card clean and clear.

earlier card
Not feeling too happy about the card which does not stand out on parchment paper,
I decided to tweak the card to make the contents stand out better.
Layered a white parchment paper on grey DCWV cardstock.
The white card is embossed with Sizzix Polka Dot embossing folder
while the green labels are the reverse of Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots.

Monday, Monday, pa-pa, pa-pa...

Made this card for two Monday Challenges

The effect, sweet both ways, portrait and landscape.
One can see that I am using less and less patterned papers for my cards
as I move to embossing, (die-)cutting and simplicity.
The Sizzix Polka Dot embossing folder has been put to good use,
so has the Spellbinders Scalloped Squares,
along with the Cuttlebug.
The strips of patterned papers are from the Echo Park Everyday (yes!) Eclectic.
Sentiment?  I left it pretty much wordless
because sometimes there is just no need for words.
Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle.
One can feel the light and easy (breezy) feeling of the card.

Thank you For Being My Friend

This card is made for the following two challenges:-

I made this card rather simple so that the main elements stand out.
The striped paper is from Raspberry Road Design Luxury Paper Collection.
The purple ribbon is by Hands, a Taiwanese brand.
The metal ladybug is a trinket I got from China.
All on lilac.

Thank you for being my friend.
Thank you for being here for me.
