365 Cards Day 88 ~ Super Sketchy Sunday

Busy as a bee with 2 wedding dinners and visits by relations.  No 51 has been like a bustling hotel for Tan after Tan.  The card is a simple monochromatic one in blue.  The light blue parchment paper is embossed with the Cuttlebug.

Today's challenge is to think "School" - I'm talking about using at least one image and one word that are associated with learning.

All things about "school" - ABCs and 123, Back to School, School's Out, Recess, Principal's List, To Sir With Love, Rock School, GLEE, the list goes on.

I made this card in conjunction with The Outlawz Sketch Challenge for Wednesday April 18

The card features all the elements of SCHOOL ~ ABC song, 12345 once I caught a fish alive, An Apple for Teacher, School House and Back To School.  Sweet!

365 Cards Day 23 ~ Color Combo Recipe Card Just for You

The Challenge

It took me a while to work this one out and I took my time.  I had an idea of how I was going to make this card and let it flourish in my mind.  At the same time, I decided to incorporate this challenge with Allsorts Challenge Blog with their week 147 challenge Use a Cooking Recipe.  I like Jamie Oliver and his recipes so I took one old recipe I had printed out a while back, Cornish Cowboy Pasties.

So the card for a good friend who likes to cook and bake features the recipe.  I was not sure how the card would turn out so I kind of aged the look of the card with Versafine ink to make it feel used over time.  The ingredients and how-to tag can be taken out for east of reference.
