This card is also for CAS-ual Fridays CFC81 : Knotty or Nice
Create a Clean And Simple project that features a knot or knots.

The three different papers are from DCWV premium stacks.

The red part and ovals are cut with Spellbinders dies.

Tied twine from Maya Road

and stuck three red flowers for the bling.

The card turned out looking like Santa's costume

hence, the HOHOHO!!!

Two Thank You Cards for Two Challenges

I am back with two cards in one post

and off to a 4-day silent retreat in a faraway hill tomorrow.

Both cards are made with the help of the Cuttlebug with Spellbinders dies,

and stamps from Hero Arts.

The first one is made for Friday Mashup FM85 ~ A Thankful Fall.

It is a pot of daisies made with love and gratitude.

The second card is made for Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge PPA147.

I turned the sketch clockwise and chose pink, green and white for a cheerful card.

What's up with Washi tape?

It seems to be the current rage like the Korean Psy's Oppa Gungnam Style.

Here are two challenges to use washi tapes.

Friday Mashup FM80 Mash It Up (Sketch and Faux Washi Tape)

and 365 Cards Day 225 ~ Tape It

Use some sort of tape - Duct, Washi, plain old scotch tape - on your card.

I don't have the actual washi tape.

What I have are printed tapes (faux washi tape) which can take the place of real washi tape.

So it is ideal for the mashup.

As you all well know, I like CAS cards

so this taped card is really simple.

Two different tapes, two strips each,

and a lovely Mrs Grossman's sentiment sticker.

It's a CAS Happy Birthday card

which radiates love and light.

365 Cards Day 216 ~ Speckled Background

Today's challenge is either use paper/cardstock with a speckled background or to create one for your card.

Often when there is a loss of idea, it is good to combine challenges.

The patterned paper is from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic.

The white card is embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots.

The scalloped circles are by Spellbinders.

The twine is Maya Road.

Positioned the hand cut banners in Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade.

Ran the card through the Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots to give it a dotted treatment.

Mounted the two scalloped circles and stamped the Inkadinkado Terrier.

365 Cards Day 199 ~ Five for Fall

I know I am late.  I have not been able to make any cards the last few days, so it is catch up time again.  What more, internet is slow now that we have used up all 6GB of quota in just 15 days and it is throttled to a very s  l  o  w  speed.  Time to upgrade to another service provider.

Hope I make it for 365 Cards Weekly All Stars.

Today's challenge is to use FIVE items - a mix of colors, images, patterns, etc. to create a Fall-themed card.

Anyway, back to the challenge.

Since I have no Halloween or Fall stuff for card making,

I improvised and used the colours of fall (five of them),

embossed the rays in polka dot,

tied a bow with a ribbon,

die cut 2 scalloped circles 

and used 1 owl stamp in light brown

to make this card using the sketch from Friday Mashup FM76.

The thrill in making this card is using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Circles for the first time today which I just received from my brother in West Virginia.  (The stash which my brother sent included Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Hearts and  Labels Eleven, 2 Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, 2 sets of Hero Arts Clear Stamps, a set of Inkadinkado clear stamps and Momento Dew Drops set of 12 colors.)
